曼德拉效應專輯237：英王欽定本的改動—Musick、Lovingkindness、Remember

今次，我們會繼續分享「曼德拉效應」下，《聖經》英王欽定本快得連字典也跟不上的改動，如 Musick、Lovingkindness、Remember。

1）Music VS Musick

早前已經提到，英王欽定本的「曼德拉效應」改動連英文字典都追不上，而另一個例子，就是音樂 music，很多人小學已經要上音樂堂，從小已懂得 music 一字。然而，當你在英王欽定本搜尋 music，會發現全本《聖經》竟然都沒有 music 一字，奇怪嗎？一本常常談及敬拜讚美的《聖經》，竟沒有音樂 music 一字，為甚麼呢？以下是一些關於音樂的經文。

但以理書 3:5
你們一聽見角、笛、琵琶、琴、瑟、笙，和各樣樂器的聲音，就當俯伏敬拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

「聲音」這個字，就是音樂 music 的意思。我們先看看 NIV 譯本。

Daniel 3:5 (NIV)
As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

這裡出現我們所認知的 music 一字。然而，英王欽定本又變成怎樣呢？

Daniel 3:5 (KJV)
That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

大家是否留意，音樂 music，居然變成了 musick 呢？大家從小到大，又是否認識 musick 這一字呢？

但全本《聖經》所有 music，已經統統變成了 musick。並且，劍橋字典和網上字典，都沒有收錄 musick。大家能否想像，英王欽定本作為一本文學鉅著，無數人藉著它學習英語，用英文字典查閱每一個英文字的解釋。試問，會否存在這種可能性，英文字典連英王欽定本當中如此簡單的英文字音樂，竟然都沒有收錄呢？還是，「曼德拉效應」的轉變，已經快得連字典也趕不上呢？


2）慈愛 Loving kindness VS Lovingkindness

另一個字典趕不上的改變是耶利米書31章3節。

耶利米書31︰3
古時耶和華向以色列顯現，說：我以永遠的愛愛你，因此我以慈愛吸引你。

慈愛的英文 Loving kindness，常常用作形容神對人的愛。現在，讓我們看看 NIV 譯本。

Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.

這裡的 loving kindness 是兩個字，因此用 "-" (hyphen) 連結。但「曼德拉效應」下，英王欽定本變成怎樣呢？

Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

現時，lovingkindness 竟變成了一個字，並且不單出現了一次，甚至出現了二十多次，奇怪嗎？同樣，劍橋字典並沒有收錄這個字，即使其他字典有收錄，也是如 NIV 譯本般，當作兩個字，而不是一個字。如之前提及，假如幾百年前寫成的英文《聖經》中， lovingkindness 是一個字，並且出現過二十多次，為何英文字典卻沒有收錄呢？


3）Trust VS Remember

另一個「曼德拉效應」改動，是來自一段我們非常熟悉的經文。

詩篇20︰7
有人靠車，有人靠馬，但我們要提到耶和華─我們　神的名。

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 20:7 (NIV)
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

大家有沒有覺得奇怪，本來的 trust，即相信或倚靠，變成了 remember 記住呢？但 trust 相信，與 remember 記住的意思，存在明顯分別。事實上，很多人都記得，這段經文首句與第二句是對等，兩者應該是「相信」或「倚靠」。就是有些人會靠車、有些人會靠馬，所以，下一句就是靠神的名。NIV 用 trust，而不是 remember，因為對比一些靠車、靠馬的人，我們應該靠神的名，而不是單單記起神的名。

很多年前，教會翻譯了 Bob Fitts 一首詩歌，歌詞亦提及 trust，而不是 remember。歌詞是︰Some may trust in horses, some may trust in chariots. But we will trust in the name of our God.

小結

老實說，你見過 Musick、Lovingkindness 這兩個字嗎？難度 Bob Fitts 唱他那首歌時，也記錯經文的字眼？明顯地，在「曼德拉效應」下，英王欽定本已經變得千瘡百孔了。
